The recruitment process was quick, with smooth communication with HR for the first interview, which was about 30 minutes. The second interview involved a test where I had to prepare a presentation beforehand for the Manager. I found this a bit exaggerated as it took a lot of my time and energy. I was ghosted a week later, then received an automatic email saying I didn't fit the position. Anyway, it was an experience for me!

I was first reached out to by Ingo Boettcher about the Sr Sales Executive role. After expressing interest, I had a few chats with Emily about the hiring process and job conditions. Then, I spoke with Kevin Puylaert. This was a really engaging discussion about how the job is handled. Kevin even offered an extra meeting for more talk after our scheduled time, which made me feel like a valued candidate. I also had an interview with Andrew Cook, which was another open and frank conversation about things like customer handling.

I had a rough time interviewing for an Internship at Sophia Genetics, and I honestly wouldn't suggest it. First, there was a phone screen where the recruiter showed up 15 minutes late and didn't really address my questions about the role. Then, what was supposed to be a 30-minute online chat turned into a nearly 3-hour in-person interview with multiple team members. They sprung the in-person requirement and a 30-minute presentation on me the day before, which I thought was unreasonable given the short notice. At the very end, they mentioned the salary (2500 CHF/month, barely enough to live on) and that a full-time role post-internship was unlikely. They said they'd get back to me in a week, but, predictably, I heard nothing.

The interview journey kicked off with an initial screening, and I was genuinely impressed by how supportive and responsive the company was. The interviewer was super helpful, answering all my questions and easing any worries I had. Communication was smooth throughout, making me feel really valued. A cool part was getting an assignment, which surprisingly turned out to be really fun and engaging, letting me show off my skills. After that, I had a remote interview to present my work, which was a great chance to really demonstrate my expertise. Then, I chatted with HR, who helped me get sorted with the relocation to Switzerland, making the whole transition smooth for this awesome opportunity. Basically, the interview with SOPHiA wasn't just about seeing if I fit, but also about providing support and making me feel like I was joining a team that genuinely cared about my success.
