So I had a three-part interview process. First, there was an HR Round where they chatted with me about fitting into the company culture, my background, and what I want career-wise. They also gave me the lowdown on the job and the perks. Second, I met with the Hiring Manager. This part was more technical, digging into my past work, skills, and specific projects to see if I'd be a good fit for the team and the role. Lastly, I had a chat with the VP. This was a bigger-picture discussion about my long-term goals and how I could make an impact on the company, looking at my strategic fit and potential for growth. Overall, it felt like they really checked out my skills, how I'd fit in, and if I was on the same page as the company's objectives.

The HR person called me about a month after I applied for a phone interview. She was 10 minutes late and didn't seem prepared. After I followed up, I heard back two weeks later for an interview with the director. Then I had an on-site interview. It was supposed to be a panel interview, but only a few people showed up. A few questions into the interview, I realized a decision had already been made and they were just going through the motions to fill the position. They mentioned high turnover (which is a red flag) and that they move slowly. The whole process was disorganized and discouraging. I had to wait a long time between interviewers. I didn't get an offer, which made my decision easy.

First I spoke with a recruiter on the phone to see if I was interested in the role and discuss my qualifications. Then, I met the manager I would report to. This interview was pretty straightforward, focusing on my experience and the job's responsibilities. Finally, I had another meeting with the VP (my manager's boss), another manager, and two of my potential future colleagues. The VP asked some tough strategy questions, but the rest of the interview was pretty standard.
