The recruiter I talked to was awesome during the whole thing and I felt like they were good at finding the right fit and helping me out. They kept me in the loop with feedback at every stage and even managed to get a better rate than what was first offered once interviews were underway.

The interview process included a recruiter screen, about 30 minutes discussing the contract role and benefits. Then, the first round was a 1-way video interview where I had to record myself answering questions for 30 minutes. This was processed by AI Platform xpertreview.com and required installing an unknown browser extension.

A recruiter messaged me on LinkedIn about a Marketing Specialist job in NJ with a specific salary, asking if I was interested in sending my resume. I emailed my resume to the address provided, which went to a different recruiter. This second recruiter set up a brief phone screen to discuss my background. After the call, they mentioned needing to pass my resume to another recruiter in yet another location. The third recruiter, after several scheduling issues and calling me when I was unavailable, finally reached me. They were dismissive, unwelcoming, and rude, taking other calls during our conversation and being unable to answer any questions about the role. When asked about company culture, daily tasks, the team, or my direct report, they responded with 'I don't know' each time. They also stated the initial salary information was incorrect. Overall, it felt like a waste of time due to the staffing firm's disorganization and lack of knowledge.

The interview process was easy, though I was hired through an agency I wouldn't recommend. They were unprofessional, not building rapport, and giving me bad info on dates and process. The recruiter was arrogant and seemed uninterested but did give me some good tips. He said he was putting me down for a role "that anyone can do," which felt bad since I was new. I got hired at a good company but left soon after for personal reasons. They handled it poorly.
