First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Solenis.
Intern
I was taken to a booth where I had 30 minutes to be interviewed, but there was another interview happening with another applicant, so we waited outside. I was worried this was cutting into my interview time, so I decided to make small talk about the pine trees and how they're flexible since it was relevant to the company. When it was my turn, she asked me questions that I will mention in the input boxes below. After it was done, we shook hands and I left. I emailed them back a week later wondering how my application was doing, and got nothing. And after that, I never heard from them again.
- Did you take Unit Ops?
- Can you describe a situation where you and a colleague had a disagreement about a project or in the workplace?
Intern
Solenis reached out to me to schedule a 30-minute in-person interview at a career fair. I had a good conversation with the interviewer, and she seemed very knowledgeable. At the end of the interview, she told me that I had done a great job and to be on the lookout for further news. A month later, I got another offer and contacted Solenis asking for their timeline to decide if I should take the alternate offer. This email was not responded to. A few months later, I received a generic rejection email without feedback.
- Why are you interested in this role?
Intern
The interview process was quite straightforward and pleasant. After submitting an online application, I received a phone call to schedule the interview. The actual interview took place over lunch at a location I selected in Grand Rapids. It was a very informative and relaxed meeting, with no pressure at all.
- Can you tell me about your interests?
