Interconnection Coordinator
It moved really fast! Started with a phone interview on Friday, and by Tuesday I was in for an in-person panel with 3 people. Got the offer the next morning. I had to fill out paperwork and then started working within the next week. If you can't adapt well to change, or if fast-paced repetitive work that changes abruptly bothers you, or if you're not a team player with a positive attitude ready to work hard and save the planet, then don't bother applying. They want to know how your past roles make you a good fit, how you handle change, your strengths, and your accomplishments.
- What's the biggest misconception people have about you?
- How do your past roles make you think you'd be a good fit?
- Tell me about how you handle change.
Interconnection Coordinator
So after I applied on the website, a recruiter called me to chat for like 10-15 minutes to see if I was a good fit for either of the jobs I applied for. They called me back in a day or two to set up an in-person interview that would be at least an hour long. On the day, I met with the manager of the team, then the whole team, then another manager from a different team and the first manager, and then finally the director of the group. After those four meetings, the manager walked me out. All the meetings were pretty friendly but formal, where they asked me questions and I got to ask them stuff too. A few days later, the manager followed up with a few more questions, and then a few days after that, the manager called me to offer me the job.
- Can you tell me about a time in your career when you were least proud of something that happened, and what you did, or perhaps wish you had done, to make it better?
Administrative Coordinator
It was a group interview where you met with 2-3 groups of interviewers. Each group asked different questions. They are really focused on a fast moving and fast changing work environment, so be ready to answer how you will deal with that. They asked the basics like why you want to work at SolarCity and what makes you the best candidate. Also asked what frustrated you most about your last job.
- How do you handle changes at work?
