So first there was a screening interview, then a bunch of google hangouts, then a couple of in person interviews, and then some more google hangouts. Everyone I met was super nice and really into the company. But, I did notice that all 7 people I talked to were white, which made me feel like they aren't really focused on diversity, and that's something I care about. This feeling got stronger because they all kept asking the same type of 'tell me about a time when you...' questions to see if I'd fit in. The whole process also felt like it took forever, and I was pretty sure they weren't going to hire me because they took so long to just tell me. To get ready, you should definitely have a bunch of stories ready for those 'tell me about a time when you...' questions. Based on my experience, don't try to be too unique, just try to be like them and aim for that cultural fit, you know how it is for sales.

So, the usual interview flow here. It kicks off with a chat with the Recruiter over the phone, then there's this skills test, specifically an Excel test you gotta do. After that, it's an in-person interview. We're all about the metrics here, so make sure you're on your A-game and really sell yourself! We're looking for top talent.

The interview process was a bit slower than expected but since I wasn't in a rush to switch jobs it wasn't a big deal. I did the initial interview over the phone and then a little over a week later I was brought in for three, thirty minute, face to face interviews. This was on a Friday and I was offered the job on Monday! Two of the interviewers did their interviews on the fly (instead of reading off of a page) and it was very engaging and I could tell their passion for Sojern.
