First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Soho House & Co.
Designer
They have you do a design exercise as part of the interview process, which is a good way to screen people. However, the amount of time needed to prepare for it before really understanding the company or role felt a bit out of order. I worked with a recruiter at the time and felt like the usual information about a workplace was kept pretty vague until after I completed the design exercise. By then, it was obvious the role wasn't going to be a good fit.

Designer
It was a pretty easy process, I spoke with a few managers. The people I talked to were easy to talk to and seemed genuinely interested in my background. I felt comfortable sharing my past work. They really focused on understanding my workflow and how well I could work with other designers and architects.
- How adaptable are you?
- Tell me about your design background.
Designer
I applied online and then bumped into someone I knew from the company at Soho House. We ended up having the interview right there in the open space, which was a little awkward just in case someone else recognized me.
