I met them at a career fair and they seemed really interested in me. About 3 months later, I got a call back for a phone interview. It went well, and they then asked me to do a technical phone interview. They said it was about my experience and that they could teach me anything I didn't know. During the interview, they asked what language I would use, and I said Python. They then immediately asked me about specific Python methods and features, which I wasn't prepared for. Surprisingly, they ghosted me after that, and even my follow-up email and message didn't get a response.

I applied on Handshake and then HR reached out for a phone screen. She chatted about the Minneapolis office of Sogeti USA, which has like 80 people, their career paths, why consulting is better than contracting, and benefits. Then I had a 35-minute technical screen with a senior consultant. He looked over my resume and website, asking questions based on what he saw. He thought my resume was good. He asked about interface vs abstract class, garbage collector, typescript vs javascript, python vs javascript, what angular is, what I know about agile, and a few other things. He also shared a lot of useful info about being a consultant long-term, like learning a lot by moving between clients while keeping benefits at Sogeti, and why consulting beats contracting. After that, I was invited for a 1-hour onsite interview. I had to prepare a 5-minute presentation covering my experience, why I want to be a consultant, and why Sogeti. Two directors and the VP were there, and they were really chill and made me feel comfortable. The presentation went well, and then we talked for the remaining 50 minutes. They started with questions about managing time with sports, tech I like to learn, free time activities, and ranking my skills. They did most of the talking, and I got to ask them questions too. It felt like a get-to-know-you thing to see if I'd be a good fit for consulting, since it's not for everyone. They mentioned projects can be 6 weeks to 6 years, but 6 months is average, and longer ones are for consultants who don't want to move much. I got an offer a week later and negotiated it up a bit.

After initial outreach via my online profile, I had a phone interview that lasted about an hour. It was pretty casual, focusing on my school experiences and general thoughts about the position. Then, I traveled to their branch office for a round robin interview with project leads, the VP, and the HR manager. There weren't any technical questions; it was all quite casual, aimed at understanding my personality, interests, and experiences.
