The interview process can depend on who interviews you. In managerial interviews, they'll ask about you and present a puzzle. Technical interviews will cover your subject area, so be confident in your answers.

The interview process had 4 rounds. The first round was a face-to-face technical interview at Softway Solutions. They asked me about OOPS concepts, C# programming, and my past projects. It was of moderate difficulty. After passing the first round, I had a second round with the CTO. He asked a main technical question about a real-world app development issue involving a web service component and how I would solve it. Other than that, it was more like an HR interview where he gave career advice. The third round was a standard HR interview with typical questions. During this round, I found out about a mandatory 2-year bond that the company requires. I mentioned I needed to think about it. The fourth round was unexpected and not technical or HR-related. They called me specifically to discuss my decision on the 2-year bond. When I declined, they tried to convince me to accept at least an 18-month bond. My feedback on the process is that asking candidates to sign a bond before the offer letter is not ideal. It would be better to have the agreement signed on the first day of joining, after the offer letter has been released. Also, reducing the agreement period to 1 year or 18 months would be better.

It was a good experience overall. They conducted a walk-in for .NET developer recruitment at their office on a Saturday. My slot was around 11 AM, but I had to wait about an hour for the rounds to start. There were 2 technical rounds, 1 managerial round, and 1 HR round. The first technical round, about 30 minutes, covered C#, OOP basics, and fundamental ASP.NET MVC concepts like model binding, validations, and MVC calls, focusing on understanding and approach. The second technical round, around 40 minutes, went deeper into .NET MVC, with Entity Framework problems and a task to design an MVC website based on specs, validating programming approach and use of technologies like layout pages and razor views. The managerial round with the director of technology, about 30 minutes, focused on understanding businesses, incorporating requirements in past projects, and expectations for the role, with an intro to their domains and clients. The HR round, about 45 minutes, was a thorough walkthrough of Softway, its structure, role expectations, work culture, and salary discussions. The HR and technical teams were friendly and gave ample time for answers. The sessions were open-ended and thorough, with the entire process finishing around 5 PM.
