Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SoftwareOne.
Associate Consultant
The whole process took a bit of time but felt pretty smooth and natural, not like other software companies. No video recordings, just two tests for general and computer skills, followed by interviews with HR and a tech team member. I was really happy with how it went.
- Can you describe your past projects?
Associate Consultant
It was a 2 round process, both technical. The role was for cloud and they asked basic questions, plus an in-depth assessment of cloud skills. The manager round was also partly technical, focusing deeply on the cloud side. Since I had strong cloud knowledge, it worked out well for me. Then there was an HR round, and then they released the offer.
- Could you list the cloud deployment modules?
- What cloud services are offered?
Associate Consultant
The interview process was pretty intense. It felt like they were hiring for a really strategic role because they interviewed me at multiple levels. But then, after I got through it all, it turned out the expectations and the actual work were completely the opposite of what I thought. It was a bit of a bait-and-switch, honestly.
- Can you tell me about the experiences you have that are relevant to this role?
- What are you expecting in terms of the actual work and responsibilities?
- How do you align your skills with what the company is looking for?
