The hiring process moved pretty fast, wrapping up in a little over a week. I went through three rounds of interviews with different people from the company. It was a respectful and engaging experience throughout.

I had a 45-minute conversation with Elena, which I think went well. It was a casual chat about my interest in the role. She mentioned I'd hear back by the end of the week regarding the next stage. By Friday, I hadn't heard anything. I called her the following Tuesday for an update, and she said the Sales Manager hadn't responded. After that, she stopped answering my calls and emails, even rejecting my calls. It was odd behavior for a Talent Acquisition specialist who should be following up and informing candidates of their status rather than ignoring them.

I had a phone interview first, which was pretty straightforward. Then, five days later, I was invited to an assessment centre. There, I had to do a group exercise where we were given departments (Education, Health, Safety, Agriculture, Science) and had to negotiate how to split a million pounds based on case studies. After that, I had to give a presentation using only handouts, talking about the key traits of a successful candidate. Finally, there was a face-to-face interview.
