Softtek Software Engineer Interview Questions
& Process

The interviewer was very friendly and asked easy questions. It lasted no more than 30 minutes. We discussed various points like salary, what the day-to-day work would be like, and how soon I could join the team.

The interview process had several stages. First, an HR screening, followed by a meeting with the project lead which involved a technical test. After that, there was another interview where I had to present the project I developed, and then some technical questions unrelated to the project were asked.

So, I interviewed for a Software Engineer role at Softtek. The whole thing was pretty organized, but they really threw a lot at me. First, a recruiter called me up for a quick chat, about half an hour, just to see if I was a good fit and talk about my experience. They were pretty upfront about how things would go. Then, I had this timed online coding test with data structures and algorithms stuff. It was kinda tough, and they seem to really care about writing code that's both fast and easy to read. After that, I had a virtual panel interview with two engineers. They had me do a coding problem right there on a shared screen, and it was important that I talked through what I was doing. It made it feel more like a conversation. The last part was with the hiring manager for a behavioral interview. We talked about projects I'd done, tough spots I'd been in, and how I deal with disagreements on a team. They also asked some questions about how I handle prioritizing and making choices. Overall, it was a good experience. The people were professional and even gave me some pointers when I messed up a bit on the coding. It was hard, but it felt fair, and I liked that they focused on problems you'd actually face on the job.
