Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Softtek.
Engineer
The interview process was pretty standard, everything went as I anticipated. The questions touched on specific software tools, programming languages, and both on-premise and cloud databases.
- Can you tell me about your technical skills and how many years of experience you have in this field?
NOC Engineer
It was a pleasant interview, quite straightforward. Only two interviews, one with HR and another technical one with the Delivery Manager. Positive experience, difficulty was appropriate for the role.
- Could you tell me about your networking knowledge?
- What's your prior experience monitoring network instances and services?
- What's your prior experience administering virtual machines?
Developer
It was a long process, and in the end they said no. Everything was by phone and online. First, HR contacts you and asks you to talk a bit about yourself. They are also quite insistent about whether you are currently employed. Then they send you a pre-offer (be careful, this doesn't guarantee anything) showing salary and benefits, and ask you to send documents to 'speed up' the process. Two days after the HR interview, I had the 'technical' interview where they ask almost the same things as HR. Three people were there, but only one asked me questions (it seemed like a filler interview). It lasted 14 minutes. Two days later, HR contacted me again, saying I was a certain percentage close to being hired. Finally, there was a last call where they told me the client didn't approve the budget.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Are you currently employed?
- Do you have documentation?
