First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Softpath System.
ETL Developer
I went through 2 rounds of technical phone interviews. The whole process was pretty smooth. HR and the interviewer were really professional and helpful throughout. It all wrapped up in about two weeks.
- What are your basic SQL skills?
- Can you answer intermediate SQL questions?
- Do you have basic ETL knowledge?
Senior Recruiter
The HR from the India office was very unprofessional and inexperienced. They lacked professionalism and didn't know how to speak to senior people. There were no set schedules for interviews, with walk-ins accepted for both freshers and seniors. Resumes weren't even reviewed before sending emails, and everyone received a general email to come in for a face-to-face interview between 5:30 PM and 9:30 PM IST. Upon arrival, candidates were asked about the role they applied for, as the HR hadn't read their resumes or knew which role the email was sent for. The security at reception was also described as unprofessional. The HR didn't know who was scheduled or have the patience to listen to a candidate's experience, often jumping to the next question without hearing the answer. Arrogance was noted, and hiring managers were consistently busy, making candidates wait for hours, which was considered unprofessional and unethical. Discouraging words were used by the HR. This happened three times with the company, even with different HR personnel. No feedback was ever provided after any interviews.
- What was the specific role you applied for?
- Could you explain the reasons for leaving your prior job?
- Are you aware of the position we are currently discussing with you?
MDM
They asked me about my previous experience and went through my prior work. Then, they dove into technical aspects like Java J2EE programming, PLSQL, Shell scripting, and DBMS. I also solved some syntactical and logical problems related to business scenarios.
- Can you tell me about your work experience?
- Could you explain your programming skills?
Intern
The phone interview was pretty basic, mainly HR-related questions. No technical stuff came up. They mentioned two places for the internship: Atlanta and Cary, NC. The learning experience during the internship itself seemed good.
- Tell me about the database courses you've completed.
