First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SoftMoc.
Sales Associate
I applied online and it took 2 days. I sent my resume through indeed.com to the company email, and got a phone call for an interview the next day. I went into the store and asked for the manager since I had an interview. The sales associate called another girl who was the assistant manager and my interviewer. We went to the food court for the interview and she read questions off a paper. At the end, she said I'd get a call for another interview with the store manager, but I never did.
- Why Softmoc?
Sales Associate
The store is the top-ranked in the mall. Because of the holidays and staff leaving, they really needed people right away; I got interviewed the very first time I gave my resume to the manager. It was a really easy and relaxed process. Since the store does so well, I knew I had to follow up quickly.
- What's your approach to dealing with a difficult customer?
- Would you be okay with using a ladder?
- When's the best time for you to work?
Sales Associate
I applied in person, and got a call about a month later since they weren't hiring at first. They asked a few basic questions over the phone, like why I wanted to work there, and then asked me to come in for an in-person interview. The in-person interview was a pretty standard retail interview. The manager was very nice and made the interview feel comfortable and casual.
- Could you tell me what personal quality you are looking to improve?
- What personal quality would you like to work on?
