Human Resources Manager
I applied for an HR Manager II role and had a phone screening with a corporate recruiter. She mentioned that the role would be more like an HR Generalist position, which was different from the job posting. During the call, she asked about my salary expectations. I gave a figure that was $20,000 below the listed salary, but it seemed too high for her, and she ended the interview shortly after. When I asked about the HR structure at the location, she confirmed that the person in this role would be the only HR representative. It's a significant responsibility for them to then offer a low salary. I don't expect to hear back, and I've seen other reviews where people were also lowballed or offered a different role than what they applied for.

Human Resources Manager
Sodexo gives tons of info online (linkedin, facebook, website), and it's easy to connect with recruiters. They really push their 'caring' culture, so keep that in mind. First, a recruiter emails you for an initial phone screen. They'll ask basic experience/background questions to see if you're a fit and are pretty open about salary. Next, a recruiting assistant does a phone interview that's behavioral. They ask straightforward questions and want you to use a past experience as an example, like 'tell me about a time you had multiple goals and a deadline, how did you meet them?'. After that, the hiring manager calls you for a 1:1. She mentioned a skills assessment, but it turned out to be another behavioral interview. She'd ask a question and then explain how it related to the job. Not sure if that's her thing or standard practice. Again, simple, direct questions asking for personal examples. Finally, I had phone screens with two other managers I'd be working with. The whole thing took a few weeks.
- Describe a situation where you disagreed with a manager's decision you were supporting.
- Tell me about a time you resolved a conflict issue within a multicultural workforce.
HR Manager
- Could you tell me about your educational background?
- Can you describe your career path?
- What motivates your desire for a change?
