Analog Design Engineer
The interview process had 3 stages. The first stage was the same for everyone. The second stage focused on your specific domain expertise. The third stage was a long interview, lasting about 6 hours. The questions they asked were good, and the interviewer was friendly.
- Can you describe the current vs voltage graph of CMOS?
- What is the reason for a 180-degree phase shift in a transistor?
Analog Design Engineer
We started with a written test at our college which had 3 parts: 1. Analog questions (discriptive) on RC circuits (3-4 Q), MOS circuits (20 Q, mostly from RAZAVI), Opamps (1-2 Q), and BJT (1-2 Q). 2. C (discriptive) and 3. Aptitude. Those selected were called to Hyderabad for interviews. In Hyderabad, since my Analog performance wasn't great, they gave a short lecture on MOS and then another test with only Analog technical questions. Those who passed this went on to: 1. Personal aptitude test (they give Q and ask you to solve and explain the logic). 2. Technical Interview (Tough). 3. Technical Interview (Average). 4. HR round (taken by the Director). Those selected here moved to the final HR round. 5. HR explained the CTC, bond, and background check details.
- If you are good in Network Analysis and MOSFET is not enough. You should have a detailed knowledge of MOSFET and its type of question.
- Specially, practice RAZAVI.
Analog Design Engineer
The interview process involved a written test first, which had two steps: a preliminary round with aptitude and basic electronics questions, and a main round focused on the chosen domain. This was followed by an interview for those who passed. The whole process spanned two days. The written tests were on the first day, with the interview for shortlisted candidates also on the first day. The questions were a bit challenging but manageable with a good grasp of analog design fundamentals. Having a solid understanding of the basics, like those found in Razavi's textbook, will boost your confidence. For the preliminary stage, expect questions on aptitude and general electronics. For the main written test, questions will be specific to your chosen field. In the interview, they might ask about questions you left unanswered in the main written test.
