The whole process took about 3 weeks with 4 steps in the total process. I had an initial phone interview with the VP of people & culture and then had a video interview her and the director of social media. Both calls were approximately 20 minutes each and very positive experiences. Questions about my background and experience. The final 2 steps consisted of a working test and a final video interview with the CEO and 2 other senior team members. The working test was a full campaign mock-up with explanations for which type of optimizations would take place, granular information. After they responded to my submission, I was invited to the final video interview. The questions this time were more focused on how I would approach certain scenarios and my experience relating to the position. I found out 2 days later that my application was not selected. Very anti-climactic, the only feedback given was that I did not seem like the “correct fit”.

Behavioral Technical

I went through two interviews. The first one with the VP of Operations and another person went pretty well. The second interview, however, didn't go so great with a trainer and the CEO. The CEO's behavior, like riding a kid's scooter around the office, seemed unprofessional. He also appeared disengaged and like he'd already decided against hiring me. The company's website 'Our Culture' section is also immaturely written. Except for the HR staff's professionalism, the overall interview experience was negative, and I wouldn't recommend this company.

It was a 3 part interview process. The first interview was over the phone and it was a basic interview. Nothing too stressful. The next interview was in person with 2 people from the company. The questions were more directed as to why I wanted to work for Social SEO, what I enjoy about digital marketing, and talking about past experiences in certain situations. The final interview was with 2 different individuals and the questions were about the same as the previous one.

The interview process was really well organized and ran smoothly. I got to chat with some of the managers and they answered all my questions in a way that was both efficient and relaxed. It was obvious from the start that these are great people and the company has an amazing culture.
