Financial Analyst
I had an interview with the manager which went pretty well. The manager is young and dynamic with years of experience at the company. I immediately felt like this was a place where one could build a career.
- What are my weaknesses and strengths?
Financial Analyst
The interview process was excessively long, lasting over three months with poor communication from management. I received no feedback until 30+ days after my final interview, with delays of about a month between each stage. The process needs streamlining—most candidates won't wait this long for an offer. Also, the salary communicated by HR was below market expectations. Advice for management: For nearly entry-level roles (1-2 years experience), simplify the process. We aren’t interviewing for a director position, so there’s no need to meet with every stakeholder in the company.
- What factors would you consider when deciding on an investment? (e.g., IRR and NPV)
Financial Analyst
First, HR called me for a phone screening. The very next day, I got an interview invitation. The interview was online with the finance manager. The manager asked many difficult questions without giving clear details, really digging into my answers until I gave what they expected. It was a bit uncomfortable, but I tried to show my interest and qualifications. We talked for over an hour, and I thought I might get a second interview. However, at the end, they asked who I live with and how many kids I have, which made me very uncomfortable as a woman. I answered politely. They also asked for lots of details about my current salary. I didn't get a second interview, which I'm glad about because your future boss is so important!
- How would you handle someone being rude to you during a meeting?
