First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Snow Companies.
Program Manager
I was emailed about scheduling an initial phone screening. The first phone screen got rescheduled on their end. It was just okay, as the recruiter didn't know much about the role. The first round interview was scheduled quickly after. During the coordination for the first round, the recruiter switched. The interview itself was also just okay. They didn't consider education level or market salary, which is a big red flag. I brought this up to the recruiters, and one replied rudely about who to direct questions to, even though the other recruiter didn't close the loop. This recruiter also didn't provide any benefits info to offset the offensive salary offer for a Program Manager here. Not interested. Take your talents elsewhere. Interviews are a two-way street.
- Can you describe your experience coordinating or managing multiple events, and how do you maintain organization?
Account Manager
The interview process was really straightforward. I met with three people in a single day, and each one had a different approach and asked unique questions. It made sense because their interview styles seemed to match their personalities and their roles, and they were all passionate about the company's mission of helping patients find their voice. The questions weren't too tough; it felt more like a 'get to know me' chat rather than a rigorous vetting.
- How would you characterize workplace flexibility?
- Can you tell me about a time you had to meet a tight deadline?
- Share an instance of working with a challenging colleague or client.
Event Manager
The interview took place virtually. I started with HR, and then met with two people from the account team. The interview felt pretty easy, and the team was nice but also serious. It seems like they might be hiring because their teams are swamped. I've heard they also have high employee turnover and mixed feelings about the company culture. I didn't get a response after the interview, not even to my thank-you email where I expressed my interest. It was a bit unprofessional, honestly. Hope this helps anyone else interviewing!
- Can you share your past experience?
- Is traveling something you're open to?
- What do you consider your strengths and weaknesses?
Account Manager
There was a good explanation of the position and they had multiple people interview me. It was in person at the Williamsburg, VA office and lasted about 30 minutes or more. They allowed time for questions about the role or the company in general. HR followed up with any questions they were not able to answer.
- How do you feel about travel for this role?
