You can apply online on the SNCF website or Indeed. Then, there is a phone call to discuss your motivation and educational or professional background. Following that, there's a phone interview via video call. The process is still ongoing.

Technician
I applied and got the registration form from a Career Center. The training manager called me back for a brief phone interview about my motivations for the job, my diploma, and my past experience. Then, I was invited to meet the Agency Manager for a formal interview about my motivations and profile. A few weeks later, I received a summons to go to the recruitment center in Paris. There, I took general psychotechnical tests (numerical, verbal, logical, document reading), a personality test, and specific SNCF tests (reaction time to railway signals, motor skills), plus I had to write a summary of my motivations (writing skills). At the end of the morning, I had an interview with a psychologist who summarized the test results. At each stage of the testing process, some candidates were thanked and didn't proceed to the next testing session. The final step was a medical examination (fitness for working in a railway environment, screening tests).
