So I went through a 1.5 month interview process for a director-level marketing position. It involved a recruiter screen, a hiring manager screen, a case study presentation, then three interviews with GTM team members, another hiring manager interview, an interview with the president, and finally an operating principles interview. I was told on 7/15 that I didn't get the role because other candidates were stronger after the case study presentation, in areas that weren't discussed in my interviews. The role has since been reposted. I'd warn other marketing candidates about this bait and switch plus breadcrumbing tactic. They made misleading statements right up until the end, and I even shared my case study presentation which included a marketing initiative blueprint and competitor analysis. Be aware if you're applying for marketing roles here.

This was the best interview process I have ever experienced! Snapdocs saw rapid growth during 2020 and 2021, but I never felt like just another number. They set and managed my expectations throughout the interview cycle and it ended in an offer I was happy to accept. The steps included discussions with the recruiter and hiring manager and then a collaborative session with members of the team. I am usually wary of doing design work during an interview, but it was more of a working session to see how we could work together and did not require me to turn over files or work on anything related to their product.

First, I had a call with the recruiter. Then, a 1-hour technical screen over video where I had to solve one coding problem like coin change, making sure the code compiled and ran, and writing tests for it. After that, it was an onsite (virtual) that lasted 3-4 hours. This included a coding problem, like number to word conversion, a design session, and a behavioral interview. Finally, I met the Team Manager.

The interview process was very pleasant and the sales recruiter kept me updated throughout each step, letting me know what to expect. It was the best I've experienced. I started with a phone call with the sales recruiter, followed by a call with the sales development manager. Then, a video interview with a current SDR and account executive. Next, another video interview with the sales development manager. After that, I interviewed with the VP of sales. My final interview was with another team member to ensure my values aligned with theirs and the company's mission.
