Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Snapdeal.
Management
The interview process started with an Aptitude and Psychometric Test, followed by a Group Discussion, and concluded with a Personal Interview (one-on-one). All rounds were eliminating. In the Group Discussion, a group of 8-10 candidates were given a hypothetical case. Some candidates received clues, but some clues were irrelevant or contradictory. They judged presence of mind, focus on the question, and ability to lead the group to a conclusion. The Personal Interview lasted about 20-25 minutes and focused on questions from the CV, previous work experience, hobbies, and interests.
- Can you expand on your work experience in terms of business impact?
- Could you provide details about your past work experience?
- Tell me about your hobbies and interests.
Manager
There were 4 rounds. First, a telephonic call with HR for fitness check. Then, a role-specific interview with the senior director, discussing job details and responsibilities. After work-related questions, a case study was given with 3 days to solve. The next interview was face-to-face with the VP, which was a great experience with good discussions. Finally, an interview with the HR director on a different day.
- Could you describe how you would resolve a specific issue to ensure customer satisfaction?
Manager
It wasn't too difficult, more of a high-level chat. They wanted to know about the technologies used in your past projects. You'll also need to write some small code snippets. They asked about the architecture for an optimal delivery system.
