First, they shortlisted based on resumes, only for CSE, IT, and CPI above 6. Then, an online test with two parts: Part 1 had about 15 MCQs mixing quantitative aptitude and Computer Science. Part 2 had five coding questions from easy to hard. After that, an online face-to-face interview on Google Meet at 11:00 am. The interviewer asked for an introduction, then about my project. Questions followed on Java and the operating system. They also asked one coding question to multiply two given strings and return the resultant string. A puzzle question was next: 8 boxes, each with one ball, good ball weighs 10g, defective is 9g, find the defective ball in minimum iterations using a balance weight machine. Finally, they talked about college life and stack technology. Round 4 was an online telephonic HR round, mainly formalities like joining date.

So first they shortlisted based on the resume. Then there was an online test with 14 MCQs on CS core subjects and general aptitude, plus 5 coding questions (2 easy, 2 medium, 1 hard) within 30 mins for MCQs and 1 hour for coding. After that, about two days later, they had an interview on Google Meet for those who passed. The interviewer was nice and asked about my projects, then OOPS concepts like Abstraction, Interfaces, and Static methods. After that, DS and Algo problems like inserting into a linked list and a clock angle puzzle. Then C++ questions on virtual functions/pointers, followed by SQL queries for max salary and composite keys in DBMS. I tried my best to answer everything. Finally, an HR call for HR questions and to confirm my selection.

Confirmed questions8 questions
  • How many palindromic substrings are there in a given string?
  • Check if a string of parentheses is balanced.
  • Find the maximum difference between two elements in an array where the larger element appears after the smaller element.

There were two rounds in the interview process. The first round was an online test which had two parts. The first part consisted of multiple-choice questions covering aptitude, basic programming concepts, operating systems, DBMS, and OOPS. The second part involved solving 5 programming questions with varying difficulty levels, from easy to medium. After candidates were shortlisted based on the first round, the second round was an interview.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Can you discuss the fundamentals of programming, OOPS, operating systems, and database management systems?
  • Could you please explain the ACID properties in SQL?
  • How would you write an SQL query to remove duplicate rows, keeping only the first instance of each?
