Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Snap! Raise.
Sales Representative
The first interview was great and seemed like a great program that would do great things helping school clubs. The second interview, well that's when it got strange. I was informed that the job I would be receiving would be lurking about at schools, sneaking into schools through back doors or unlocked access points and stalking the teachers/coaches in their classrooms/gyms while they were teaching classes and then trying to get them to sign on with Snap. First off WTF? a grown man sneaking into a school in this day and age? I mean seriously how is that not illegal?
- How would you handle being yelled at by a teacher in front of their class?
Sales Representative
I had a video interview that felt really casual and I thought I did great. Despite my 15 years of fundraising sales experience, where I've won awards and earned bonus/incentive trips, I got a rejection email. Friends in the industry say it might be due to my age and gender, suggesting they prefer younger males who look like they could still be in school. I suspect age and gender discrimination and would be interested to know the demographics of their sales reps. If I'm mistaken, I apologize.
- Can you tell me about your background and experience in fundraising sales?
Sales Representative
It was a pretty straightforward and honest interview process. I had a phone call with the Sales Director and CEO where we discussed my experience, the company, and the day-to-day responsibilities. I got to ask them any questions I had, and I found them to be very transparent.
- Can you describe what a typical day in the current job is like?
