It was a pretty standard interview. We went through my portfolio for a bit. They said afterwards they wanted someone with more experience, even though I have 5 years in the field and 4 years focused on healthcare.

I submitted my application online towards the end of June. By the end of July, I received an email to set up a phone interview, as I'm not local to the office. The HR person wanted to know if I could do the call that day or the next. We ended up having the phone interview the day after the email. It was supposed to start at 10 am, but the call actually came an hour later. She asked if it was still okay to chat, and I confirmed. We then went through some basic questions, with the HR person taking notes as I spoke. The whole call lasted about 20 minutes. I asked about what happens next, and she said I'd get an email by the week's end about whether I'd be invited for an in-person interview. I heard back within the week, but unfortunately, they decided to move forward with another candidate. It was still a nice experience, though; the HR person was pleasant and replied to my emails promptly.

The interviewers started by asking me about myself, then we discussed interior design. After that, they had me go through my portfolio, explaining and introducing my projects. They finished by giving me feedback on my portfolio and then recommended that I apply.
