Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Smithfield Foods.
Business Manager
It was a 3 round process. First round was a phone call with a recruiter who doesn't know much about the job and asks basic questions. Then there was a manager round and a panel round where they tested subject knowledge and team fit.
- Can you describe a situation where you failed to achieve a goal?
Assistant Manager
The whole process went super smoothly, but the vibe was pretty intense. They didn't hit me with a ton of questions, but the ones they did ask were thought-provoking, so all in all, it was a good experience.
- In what ways do you believe you can contribute to our team?
Manager
The interview process felt unprofessional and lacked transparency and integrity. I had the impression that there was more to the situation than what I was being told. Some interviewers seemed disinterested or had already made up their minds before the interview even began. I decided to move on shortly after the interview concluded.
- Tell me about transactional questions.
