Software Trainee
We started with a 1-hour pre-placement talk and then the assessment began. It had an aptitude round which included aptitude, programming basics, and core subjects. There were 50 questions in total, with 10 from each section. After that, there was an interview for the students who were shortlisted.

Senior Hydrologist
So the interview with SME Corporation Malaysia was pretty tough, technically speaking. They really wanted to see how much I knew and if I could actually use that knowledge. They asked some detailed questions about specific situations and expected me to come up with solutions. It felt like they're serious about hiring people who are good at what they do and can bring new ideas and expertise.

Field Turbine Operations
It was a one on one virtual interview on WhatsApp with the Head of Operations and Maintenance. Most of the questions asked where basic Heat engines and thermodynamics questions whose back ground can be traced from electrical engineering or mechanical engineering courses.
