So the interview process for this role involves 5 rounds of interviews, and then they also check references. First, you'll do a phone screening. After that, the first interview is with the Director of HR. Then, you'll have an interview with a team leader. Next up is an interview with the executive leader of the department you're applying for. The final interview is with the CEO.
- Can you share an instance where you utilized HubSpot creatively?
Marketing Consultant
I was contacted by a recruiter after applying online to schedule an interview. I scheduled it for about a week and a half later because her schedule was packed. The interview was chill and friendly. We talked about my background and my Hubspot experience. After she explained the job requirements, I felt like I was a good match. The recruiter then passed my info to the hiring manager. I was told I'd hear back within a week but unfortunately, I didn't get to the next stage. I got an email three weeks later saying they weren't moving forward with my application. It's a bummer, but I'm hoping to apply to SmartBug again in the future! The company seems to have a great team doing amazing work!
- Can you describe your experience level with Hubspot?
Marketing Consultant
I applied online and got a questionnaire asking about my HubSpot experience, salary expectations, and some other basic stuff. After that, I had a phone interview where we talked more about HubSpot and the company. The team lead was supposed to reach out next to set up another interview and send me a scenario to prepare for. The second interview with the team lead was great, we discussed the scenario. Then things got weird. Within an hour, I went from setting up a third interview to getting an email saying they'd made a hiring decision and wanted to keep my resume. I was shocked and emailed everyone involved. The second interviewer called me back to explain, which I appreciated, but the overall handling of it left a bad impression.

- Out of all the HubSpot tools, which ones do you think you're best with?
