First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Small Girls PR.
Intern
The recruiter was very nice and patient. They mentioned there would be one initial interview. After that, I'd get a response around mid-April regarding a test project or presentation. If they liked my work, I would then present it to a group of employees.
- What types of media do you consume?
Intern
The first round was really good, pretty chill and we just got to know each other. Then the second interviewer showed up looking rough, like she just woke up and was sitting on her couch in a worn-out t-shirt. She was super rude and abrupt, and the questions felt kind of all over the place and didn't make sense together. Also, my creative project I sent in got zero feedback, and after I followed up four times, they finally said they weren't moving forward with me.
- What are your news sources?
- Why are you interested in Public Relations?
- Why this specific company?
Summer Fellowship
I had an initial chat with HR that went well, and they said they wanted to move me to the next step, which was a pre-interview presentation. I had to do a PR proposal for a client I liked and send it to the agency to see if they wanted to interview me. I spent a lot of time on it and it felt wasted when I didn't hear back for months and saw the job kept getting posted. I get it with over 5,000 applicants, but it could have been handled with more thought.
- What experience makes you a good fit for our agency?
