This interview process was the best I have ever experienced. The process started with a phone screen, then meeting with a member of the team for more tactical questions, then a project, and then finally, presenting the project to the team. After every interaction, I was given clear direction, timelines and even feedback from the talent team - which is less common. They even paid for the time and work put in to doing the project. It is very important to use the STAR method when responding to questions during the interview - specific examples of the work is key. Excellent experience!

I started with a quick video chat screening with someone from the Talent team. After that, I was given a project/pitch deck assignment. This involved brainstorming a PR stunt idea and identifying potential media targets and influencers. It was a pretty time-intensive task. Then, I had a group interview with four interviewers. Two were from each of the teams I might join. I had to present my pitch deck for about 10 minutes, and then we had a discussion.

The internship process was okay. A month after applying, I received a request for a zoom interview. The interview lasted 25 minutes and basic questions were asked. I felt like the interviewer didn't have too many questions for me, which made me feel like she was uninterested. If she wasn't interested, why bother interview me? What annoyed me was how long it took for them to reject me. The fellowship has 3 interview rounds. The first interviewer told me I'd hear back in a month. However, they never gave me a response so I emailed them. Over the span of 4 months, I only emailed them twice, and each time I was told I'd hear back in 2 weeks. Finally, they rejected me exactly 4 months after my first interview.

The recruiter contacted me, and I had my initial interview with them. After that, I met with a mid-level person. Finally, there was a panel interview with about 4 people on Zoom. For this last part, I had to create a PowerPoint presentation about a brand I like. I also had to find 4 reporters and write 2 different pitches for them, along with a timeline and justification for my choices. It was frustrating because I already have a portfolio, and they made me do this whole presentation only to tell me they weren't filling the role anymore and decided to hire a senior-level freelancer instead. This whole experience left a bad impression.
