First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Slomin's.
Sales Representative
It was a basic interview. They asked a lot about my past experiences. The HR person was great and really quick to help with any issues. The hiring managers were also great, and it was cool that they had experience in the same role I'm applying for!
- In what ways do you believe you can contribute to Slomin's?
Sales Representative
I found the opening on Monster and applied online. A recruiter contacted me to schedule an in-person interview at their main office. The office seemed nice, with a laid-back atmosphere and a focus on family. After completing some initial paperwork, I met with the recruiter. He was a pleasant person with a positive attitude. However, the job description on Monster suggested sales calls and estimates, but it turns out the role involves primarily door-to-door sales due to new laws limiting cold calling from the office.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
- Could you provide specific details from your resume?
Field Sales Representative
I saw the ad in the paper and got a call to come in. I had the interview and then started training the next Monday.
- How do you handle interacting with people who have different personalities and come from various cultural backgrounds?
