First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SlideGenius.
Assistant
Started with a chat with HR, who was super nice. They asked basic stuff about my history, schooling, and what my resume says. After that, I talked to the manager for the team, which felt more like a casual chat than a formal interview.

- How will you contribute to the team?
Presentation Designer
The recruiters and interviewers are nice and respectful. They don't grill you, but rather chat openly about your skills, what you're looking for, and the company culture. The process is pretty quick, usually just 1-3 steps, and they don't waste your time with pointless tests or long waits. They're also good about scheduling around your availability.
- What motivated you to apply for this position?
Senior Presentation Designer
This interview experience was a complete waste of time. There were four interviews in total: two with the same person, two with different people asking the exact same questions, a test, and then a final interview with the President/CEO where they told me my salary expectations were too high, even though they already knew this from my application. The final interview with the President/CEO was uncomfortable; he seemed irritated and suggested I was overpaid, which I disagree with. They should research the market pay scale. In the end, they made the correct decision not to offer me the job because I would not have accepted it anyway.
- Why is your salary requirement so high?
Graphic Designer
I got an email about 5 days after applying. They wanted me to schedule a 15-minute phone interview with the Project Manager. He asked me a few formal questions and then asked if I had any questions. Soon after, they sent an email with a design prompt: create 2 PowerPoint slides using the info they provided and send it back quickly. I finished it the same night and sent it. The next day, I got an email from someone else at the company asking if I was still interested, saying they never got my email. I sent it three separate times to different people. It was a typical interview with usual questions.
- What is your understanding of Slide Genius?
- Can you tell me about yourself?
