First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Slice.
Talent Acquisition
Interviewing with Slice was seamless! I had a screening call, a first stage interview, a final stage interview and a decision all within 2 weeks. With consistent communication and estimated timeline shared with me throughout. I met with skilled interviewers, who were able to give great insight into what my day-to-day would look like. They were open and honest with answering my questions, and I felt I was given all the information I needed to make a decision.
- The interview process included a presentation focused on my main deliverable.
- This was was a great way to showcase my experience and ensure all elements of my skillset and approach could be shared with the hiring team.
- Expectations for the presentation were clearly outlined and I was given sufficient amount of time to prepare.
Technical Recruiter
I spoke with 3 different people across 3 interviews. They were very salesy and poorly aligned. My questions mostly went unanswered, and they all had very different ideas about the role, including seniority, career path, and other important things. It felt like a waste of time, so I withdrew.
- I was asked if I was okay with a 6-month contract initially, with a review to extend it afterwards, which is quite uncommon in the Macedonian IT market today.
Talent Acquisition Partner
The application process was super smooth, with an easy-to-use online portal. I got a quick confirmation email after applying, which felt good. They were really responsive and professional in how they communicated. Scheduling the interviews was flexible; they worked with me to find times that fit my schedule, which I really appreciated. When the interviews started, it was a warm and enthusiastic welcome. The interviewers seemed to have reviewed my application carefully and asked good questions that helped me show my skills and how I fit with their values. I also got to meet some future teammates, giving me a good feel for the team vibe and company culture. Everyone I met was friendly and seemed passionate about their work. The interview vibe was a good mix of professional and relaxed, helping me do my best. It was obvious they care about candidates and want a positive experience. I liked that they were upfront about the timeline for hearing back, showing they respect my time. I was happy to get an offer soon after the last interview. The compensation was fair, and HR helped me with any questions I had.
