Consultant
The interview process was pretty straightforward and the interviewers were great. For the functional roles, it was quite easy to get through. For consultant roles, there were about 2-3 rounds plus a phone screening. This was back in 2021, so things might be different now.
- Can you tell me about your resume and elaborate on your experience?
- Can you walk me through some situations you've encountered?
- Tell me about your background and experience.
Quality Engineer
So, I had about 4 rounds of interviews. It started with a recruiter chat, then I spoke with some team members, and the last one was with the Lead, which was pretty straightforward. In the end, I got the offer and accepted it.
- Could you start by telling me a bit about yourself?
- Can you share an example of a challenging situation from your past work experience and explain how you addressed it?
- Describe a time you had to manage a difficult stakeholder and your approach.
Software Engineer
The interview had 3-5 stages. First was a 'get to know you' stage. Then, there were some OOP questions covering inheritance and polymorphism, and also a question about HTML response codes and what they mean. The final stage involved designing software architecture and a coding question.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Can you explain inheritance and polymorphism in OOP?
- What do different HTML response codes signify?
Consultant
Had an initial screening call with the recruiter to chat about Slalom opportunities and what I'm looking for. Then, a technical assessment call with a peer to go over my skills, past projects, and knowledge. After that, a behavioral interview with a manager to see how I'd handle specific scenarios. Finally, a call with leadership to talk about Slalom overall and any other questions. The recruiter kept in touch throughout, checking in after each stage.
- How would you assist a client or colleague in learning a new tool or technology?
