First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Skyworks Solutions.
Electronics Engineer
It wasn't too hard. I had two technical rounds, and they both went pretty smoothly and felt easy. The questions were basic electrical and electronics stuff, relevant to the job and also from what I studied. I talked with my manager and some team members in both rounds.
- Could you answer some electronics-related questions?
- Do you have experience with circuits?
- Are you familiar with simulation software?
Electrical Engineer Intern
I had a phone call screening, then 3 on-site interviews. The first one was behavioral, and the next two were technical. I got an offer 3 days later. They didn't negotiate, even with another offer I had.
- Could you explain what a low pass filter is?
- Describe how to design a low pass filter using a resistor and a capacitor.
- What is the working principle of a low pass filter?
Electrical Engineer
I had an on-campus interview first, and then followed by an on-site interview. At the campus interview, I was asked some conceptual questions, and I also introduced some of the projects I have worked on. At the on-site interview, I introduced my past projects again, and then engineers started to ask me my project-related questions. The process of answering these questions was more important than the actual answers, cause they wanted to see how I tackle questions, instead of how I memorize standard answers. People were pretty nice at the interview.
- Can you explain the working of a bandgap circuit?
