The recruiter chat covered roles, expectations, and compensation. Then there was a time-boxed take-home test, which was easy enough but be mindful of what you choose to work on since it's time-boxed. Following that, there were two culture interviews and one technical interview where we practiced whiteboarding. Finally, there was another culture interview leading to an offer. The interview manager FH was excellent, excellent, excellent, excellent, excellent, the entire process was wonderful, she guided me and gave excellent feedback from the interviews. It was refreshing.

The interview process involved a few steps: First, a Zoom call with the recruiter. Then, an extensive code exercise on Geektastic, with a 7-day deadline, which required building a functional iOS App using the Skyscanner API to display flight search results, following a provided design. After that, there was a mix of tech and culture interviews. Finally, there was a set of 3 interviews on the same day, each lasting an hour, including 2 technical 'hard problems' and 1 culture interview. The initial interviews covered company fit and culture questions, along with a technical 'bar raiser' type interview. The subsequent 3-hour block included a culture interview focusing on company values, situational responses, and handling failures. The technical interviews were framed as 'hard problem solving' but started as a feature brainstorm, with the interviewer guiding the technical definition. While there was time for questions about web services and data modeling, less time was allocated for app architecture, which was a point of feedback despite submitting a well-architected MVVM Reactive app challenge. They seemed particularly interested in testability and CI/CD. All video interviews were conducted on Zoom.

It was a pretty standard tech interview. But they were really focused on cultural fit, to the point where they didn't even seem to care much about your specific platform knowledge. You could be the worst iOS engineer ever, and they wouldn't mind as long as you could solve a few easy algorithm problems and talk about 'cultural stuff'.
