The interview process started with a live coding challenge using Python on a whiteboard. Following that, there was a conversation with the hiring manager where we discussed the role, my past work experience, and some questions related to statistics and experimentation. Unfortunately, I didn't move forward after the second round because they felt my profile wasn't the ideal fit for what they were looking for in this role. On a positive note, I did receive very thorough feedback about my performance.

Started with a recruiter screen, then a stakeholder screen to see if I could make business cases, prioritize work, and show value. After that, a technical interview (coding) covering basic Python, ML ops, Databricks, and PySpark. Then, I met with the hiring manager, who was looking for team fit and trying to sell the position. Finally, there was a cultural fit interview with someone from outside the department.

The hiring process was quite long, but I actually liked the interviews. The people I talked to seemed really happy working there and had been with the company for over two years. I had two interviews that focused on company culture, asking things like 'Have you ever been in a situation when..'. Then there were three technical interviews: two involved case studies, and one was a discussion about the technical aspects of a project I had worked on.
