The whole process usually starts with a phone screen where you'll tackle some technical questions related to the job. Then, there's a cultural interview to see if your values align with the company and what the company is all about. If both sides feel good after that, you'll move on to a technical interview to check your job performance skills. If that goes well, you'll have an expectations meeting where you and Skyline talk about what you both expect from the job, and then decide if you'll join. They also have a DISC assessment, but it's just for communication during your time there and doesn't affect whether you get the job. It's a bit of a long process, but it's meant to make sure you and the company are on the same page about everything, and that just takes time.

Skyline's hiring process is a big deal. It's long but basically has three parts to check for different things. 1. The "Cultural" interview is like an icebreaker to get to know each other. They try to make it more of a chat than a formal interview to help you relax. They'll see if you're excited about tech, have hobbies that show you can motivate yourself, or if you're stubborn when facing problems. You'd only really fail this by not being able to relax, staying too formal, or showing a big lack of motivation or being negative. 2. The "Technical" interview is the usual one where they figure out what you know, what you do when you don't know something, and how you handle weird situations. 3. Repeats - This is usually where you get an offer or might need to do some extra reading/research before another interview. This usually happens if they think you're motivated and a good fit, but need a little more training than most candidates.

Behavioral

I went in for a cultural interview to make sure I was a good fit for the company. I understand the purpose of a cultural interview, and it makes a lot of sense. However, this was the most bizarre interview I have ever been to. They asked where I was born and just wanted me to elaborate from there. They asked what I liked to do as a child. They asked extremely personal questions. I would say it was inappropriate, but they didn't ask anything that crossed a legal line. I cried during the interview, and they said that most people do. When I left, I felt violated.

Confirmed questions1 question

Behavioral Technical

There are 3 interviews total: a cultural one, a technical one, and an expectations one. If your character is solid and you have high accountability and like to encourage others, this is easy. The technical interview can be very challenging depending on your skill level, but again, nothing that you can't do if you are close to the position. The expectations interview is like a final interview where they talk about what's required and salary, etc. You can still mess up here, so go with your game face on.

  • Can you tell me about yourself and your background?
