Graduate Engineer Trainee
The interview process was fine. There were three interviewers, two technical and one HR. It was a good mix of technical and HR questions. My interview lasted for about half an hour. They seem to value soft skills, so be honest about what you've done. For instance, they asked about a significant decision I'd made. I mentioned choosing engineering after 10th grade. Afterwards, the interviewer suggested it would have been better to say I had others make decisions for me. Just be truthful and acceptable, no need to make up answers.
- Tell me about your projects and internship experiences.
- What is the formula for power and its units?
- Can you tell us about bearing manufacturing?
Graduate Engineer Trainee
So, first there was a Written Round with 120 Questions. It was a mix of Technical and Aptitude, and the Aptitude part was pretty tough, but the Technical was easy. Out of 153 students, 30 got selected for the Interviews. Then, the interviews were HR and Technical together in the same panel. They focused on your projects and training/internship for the Technical part, and the HR questions were pretty standard.
- Can you share something about yourself that isn't listed on your CV?
- What would you say are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Could you tell us about your project and training experience?
Graduate Engineer Trainee
The interview process started with a 45-minute written aptitude test which had some really good questions. Following that, a technical test was conducted that covered mechanical engineering topics comprehensively, with a larger focus on turbo machinery and thermodynamics. For the aptitude test, the English section was time-consuming, so it's advised to leave it and do it at the end.
- Can you tell me about your project work and your experience in manufacturing?
- Do you have any HR-related questions for us?
