First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SKF.
Intern
We had a group interview that lasted about 30 minutes, which involved a game called four corners. Then there was a company presentation for about 30 minutes. Finally, there was a short individual interview that was 5 minutes long.
- What's the most crucial outcome at the close of a workday?
Intern
I applied for the SKF recruitment via campus placements. After an initial CGPA and mech engineering coursework shortlisting, I got invited for the first round. It kicked off with a 60-minute online test. This test had tech questions from SOM, Thermal, Manufacturing, and bearing basics, plus aptitude and logical reasoning. The tech questions were mostly concept-based MCQs, and aptitude covered speed-distance-time, data interpretation, and numerical reasoning. Then, about a dozen of us got shortlisted for interviews. The next step was a technical interview. The panel grilled me on bearings, materials, machining, and basic hand calculations from my projects. They also asked about my internship, the tough spots, and how I handled them. After that, the HR interview was more of a chat, asking why I wanted to join SKF, my teamwork style, my strengths, what I need to work on, and my future career plans. The whole thing felt pretty smooth and professional; the interviewers were nice but really zeroed in on the fundamentals.
- Tell me about your B.Tech project and your M.Tech project.
Intern
I got this referral from a university Mam. The interviewer was cooperative and asked questions related to my resume, even giving hints and feedback. It was a good experience overall, though I did get some unexpected questions.
- How would you create a Power BI dashboard?
