First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Skechers U.S.A..
Assistant Manager
I went through a process for Assistant Manager that included in-person interviews. The dynamic was a bit informal and I noticed some lack of preparation in the final phase. The economic offer didn't match the expectations previously discussed nor the responsibility level of the position.
- Tell me about your leadership skills.
- How do you handle conflict resolution?
- Describe your approach to team management.
Assistant Manager
The interview process is really long. Then, when you interview with the district or regional manager, it's super short and done over the phone. Both the manager and district manager avoided answering some questions I asked them. They also wouldn't give details about how the pay works, requesting time off, or how schedules are set up.
- Can you describe the training structure?
- How does the training process work?
- What is the duration of the training period?
Merchandising Manager
The recruiter reached out and we set up a call for the following week. The recruiting team was friendly and informative, and the conversation was pretty casual. I felt like it went well, but I didn't get a second interview. I heard back a week later that they decided to move forward with another candidate.
