First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Skai.
Client Success Manager
I got a call from a recruiter to chat about the role and what it involved. I was interested, so we set up three more chats with different people at the company over the next few days. It felt like a good match and went smoothly, more like a conversation than a formal interview. I was asked to prepare a presentation, but then they told me to forget it and offered me the job, all within a week of starting the process.
- What's your reason for leaving your current job?
Client Success Manager
A recruiter reached out about the position. I then had a 30-minute video call with the Director of Client Success, which was great. After that, I was scheduled for another video interview with three people: another Client Success Director, the Director of Operations, and the HR Manager. This step felt a bit disorganized because it took over a week to schedule; the recruiter thought the HR person would reach out, and the HR person thought the recruiter would connect with me. During the video call, the HR manager seemed distracted and uninterested, asking the same questions three times and looking at Slack messages, even smiling about them while I was answering. They also didn't seem to be taking notes. Two weeks passed without any word from Kenshoo, so I didn't follow up because I had already accepted another offer.
- How do you keep yourself updated on technology?
- Can you describe how your previous work experience demonstrates your ability to manage critical client requests?
Client Success Manager
I saw an opening at Kenshoo on Glassdoor and applied. First, I had a call with HR, and then with the Group Lead, Client Success. Things went well, so they invited me for an in-person interview at their SF office. I met with 4 people, and the interview lasted about 2.5 hours. They also asked me to prepare and deliver a presentation on "Benefits and Basic Implementation of Conversion Tracking." The Sr. Client Success Director said they'd decide in 2 weeks and let candidates know, but I never heard back, even after following up with HR. Honestly, I'm glad it didn't work out. If they don't respect people's time and effort, I can only imagine what the company culture is like. We candidates also spend a lot of time and effort on the whole process, and I feel it's basic courtesy to inform us of the outcome, especially after 3-4 rounds.
- Can you answer some basic SEM questions?
- Tell me about a moment you were most proud of in your career.
- Describe the type of manager you prefer to work with.
