Account Manager
I went through four rounds of interviews, which included a final presentation that felt kind of tacked on. They gave me some data but not enough to really dig into the specific insights they wanted. During one of the interviews, a hiring manager kept interrupting me. The others seemed pretty checked out, not really asking anything or giving any feedback. The whole thing ended really abruptly, even with HR there, which made it seem like they'd already decided. Then, two days later, I got a generic rejection email without any personal touches or feedback.
- Could you introduce yourself?
Account Manager
I applied online and heard from a recruiter, who then arranged a meeting with the hiring manager. Finally, I was invited for an on-site interview. The recruiter really dug into my past experiences to understand my responsibilities. The hiring manager asked the same questions, but seemed unenthusiastic and read from a script, not seeming genuinely interested in a conversation. Surprisingly, I got invited for an on-site interview. This interview lasted over 3 hours with four interviewers. One interviewer mistakenly referred to one of my previous companies by another large company's name. Despite my corrections, they glossed over it and continued reading from a script. There was a lack of enthusiasm, giving me a sense of the company culture. Another interviewer seemed unprepared and was improvising questions. After the interviews, there was a long silence. About two weeks later, after I emailed HR, I received a generic email stating the position had been filled. While I understand Kenshoo is popular and growing, the process felt lazy and unprofessional. This experience made me question some of the Glassdoor reviews. Companies often request significant time for interviews and then fail to communicate progress promptly, which is disrespectful. Kenshoo was no different, focusing heavily on marketing but neglecting talent acquisition.
- What are your expectations for a manager?
Account Manager
The recruiter reached out first for a quick chat. Then I had a phone interview with the Director of Customer Success. Finally, I went to their office for an in-person interview with four people from the Client Services team.
- Describe your ideal job.
- Can you share an instance where you dealt with a challenging client and how you resolved the situation?
