& Process

Because of COVID, the whole interview process was remote using Zoom. Most of the people I spoke with were in different places, so it would likely have been video interviews regardless. There were 3 rounds in total with the recruiters and hiring managers.

Got a call initially and set up an interview. The first round was with a panel of 2 people. I felt kinda weird asking questions because they were in a hurry and one of the non-technical people was really intimidating and rushed me. I could totally see what working under him would be like. I had to do a 30-minute paper test with basic questions (wish I had a laptop). After 10 days of no response, I got called for a second round. The second round was way more chill. Then it was radio silence for 2 weeks, and I saw the job posting was gone. Sent a follow-up to find out the position was filled. Once they fill the role, they don't bother with the other candidates. Overall, I'm not happy waiting a whole month after two interviews. It felt like a waste of my time and energy.

I saw the role on LinkedIn and sent in my application through the company's website. About a week later, the recruiter reached out unexpectedly. After a brief 10-minute chat, they scheduled phone interviews with the two hiring managers. These interviews felt pretty relaxed; they mostly talked about the job itself rather than probing too much into my past experience.
