I had 3 interviews. First was with HR/People, very surface-level screening questions, disappointing for a startup. They were friendly but it didn't feel genuine. Second, the team lead seemed cool, enthusiastic, and had a down-to-earth chat. Third, the co-founder interview was a huge disappointment. He seemed disengaged, low energy, barely looked at the screen, and fidgeted. He asked about the company's future and market challenges, revealing they barely broke even and giving a negative explanation of the company's situation. He didn't seem excited about his own company. There seemed to be a lack of leadership experience and direction regarding billing improvements. For a recruiting company, their timeline for feedback was terrible; I had to chase them. After the co-founder said they'd get back to me, they didn't, showing a lack of care. Given their inability to track internal candidates, I'd worry about how they handle clients' candidates.

I really enjoyed my interview with this company. Right after I sent my resume, I got an interview invitation, and they kept up with this quick pace throughout. It was a very involved process with multiple conversations, which felt appropriate for a senior role, and there was a project involved. The project was more about outlining my approach to the job, not about doing free work for them. The co-founder, who was also the hiring manager, was super open and upfront. He explained why each part of the hiring process was there and was really helpful when I had questions. He also shared their company goals, both business and social, and was receptive to my feedback. The rest of the team I met were great too. The whole thing went smoothly, even with COVID. I got a good feel for the work, the team, and the culture, despite the unusual circumstances. It's obvious they've put a lot of effort into adapting to remote hiring.

It was a tough interview process, but I got a really good feel for the company. I learned a lot about the company, its culture, and the work itself. The founders, David and Natan, seem like great people who genuinely care about their team and the company's mission. They spent a good amount of time explaining why they started the company, what their values are, and the potential career growth over the next few years. They've developed some impressive technology that should really help Account Executives be more efficient in their roles. It looks like a fantastic place to work, and I wish them all the best.

A founder reached out to me about applying, thinking I'd be a good fit. I applied and followed up when I didn't hear back, and he then connected me with someone else. The interview itself felt like a complete waste of time. I did a role-play with two account managers, and then spoke with a founder who just asked if I had other offers. He acted like I was wasting his time, which was strange given they present themselves as a cutting-edge recruiting agency, though they seem unknown and are bad at hiring their own people.
