I was very interested in the position that was posted late last year, so I scheduled an interview with the hiring manager. Everything went smoothly, and I received positive feedback from talent acquisition. However, from my perspective, the situation there seems a bit complicated. I waited for about a month without any response and eventually learned from an insider that they were undergoing "restructuring/retrenchment." The lack of a clear response was bad enough, but hearing about the internal situation was quite alarming for this organization.

I had a face-to-face interview with the two managers who would be reporting to for this role. The conversation was mainly about personality and cultural fit with the team, my analytical skills, thought process, and educational background. The interviewers were very open and direct in sharing the job specifications. It was a casual conversation with some humor to keep the mood light. The HQ office is open-concept and a very nice office with a good pantry.

There were 3 interviews in total, and the whole process took about 4 months, which is quite long. The HR team wasn't very efficient and didn't provide clear instructions. On the bright side, the hiring decisions are made by your direct manager, and HR just facilitates the process.
