I had an interview scheduled for a Software Engineer role at SingPost. On the interview day, the interviewer got called into a last minute meeting, so the interview couldn't proceed. HR let me know what happened and mentioned they would reach out to reschedule. However, I didn't hear back from them. While the initial HR contact was friendly, the lack of follow-up after the cancellation was disappointing.

Had a 1st call with HR, then a F2F interview at the office for the second round. The interview was about understanding my background and the role better. They asked about my experience, what I expected from the role, and why the position was available. The F2F interview went well and was pretty engaging. I followed up with HR twice but got no response, just read receipts. While they don't owe me a response, a simple 'Sorry we're not proceeding with you, thanks for your time' would have been nice for candidates who earnestly follow up.

So after I applied online, HR got in touch like a week later for a quick phone chat. We talked about my background, why I was interested in the job, my salary expectations, and when I could start. They also asked a bit about what I know about SingPost. Then came a skills test, which included typing, some MS Word and Excel tasks, and questions about logic and admin situations, pretty practical stuff. After that, I had a panel interview with the department supervisor, team lead, and HR, lasting about 45 minutes. They wanted to know how I’d manage multitasking, deal with delivery problems, and my experience with admin systems and working in a team. Finally, HR called me back to discuss the offer details, like salary, benefits, and terms. The whole thing was pretty straightforward and organized.

I was very interested in the position that was posted late last year, so I scheduled an interview with the hiring manager. Everything went smoothly, and I received positive feedback from talent acquisition. However, from my perspective, the situation there seems a bit complicated.
