Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Singapore Armed Forces.
Officer
The interview process was pretty straightforward. It depends on your interviewers, but you just have to be calm and confident with any other interviews and answer according and align to SAF vision, mission and core values.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Can you describe a challenge you faced and how you overcame it?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Officer
It was a pretty general and chill interview. They focused more on current affairs and how I envision our country, I think it was a neutral experience. Be prepared to answer some questions related to SAF, and how I generally fit into the culture.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in joining?
- What are your thoughts on current affairs?
- How do you envision the future of our country?
Officer
The whole recruitment process took about 6 months because of security clearances and interviews. During my time it wasn't easy to get a scholarship, but I heard it's much easier now. They also have a person who preps you for the scholarship board.
- What is your motivation for joining?
