First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Singapore Airlines.
Software Engineer
Had some questions about Java, OOP, and inheritance. Then they asked about projects on my resume, and to describe the projects and how I implemented features. They didn't ask any more questions about the projects though.
- Can you explain the difference between inheritance and abstraction?
- Describe a project from your resume.
- How did you implement the features for a project on your resume?
Software Engineer Intern
The whole process was pretty straightforward. A recruiter initially contacted me to set up a meeting with the hiring manager. Then, during the interview with the hiring manager, I was asked to talk about some projects I'd done using specific technologies.
- Can you tell me about a project where you utilized a specific technology?
Software Engineer
I had 3 interviews in a row on the same day, each one lasted 45 minutes and there were about 15 minutes between them. Then I was ghosted in the last round. It was a really bad experience because of that ghosting at the end. The interviewers weren't friendly or professional either. They didn't really respond to what I was saying. When my answers weren't what they were looking for (but still worked), they were really insistent that there was only one way to solve the problem, and it had to be their way. This might have been because I had to code in a word doc and couldn't show them that my solution would work fine.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Can you solve easy LeetCode problems?
- Can you solve medium LeetCode problems?
